King of the hill intro... - by all

I'm curious. I'm certain that the theme song of King of the Hill has important cultural references. Not only the main melody, but also the quasi-free-time intro (a few chords)... What does this make you think of?

Nothing, I hate King of the Hill.

Ditto,
Since moving to Texas I get the same question from everyone back home:
is it just like King of the Hill!?

Yes, everyone in Texas is very badly drawn.

It's a caricature and exaggerated, but it plays off things in Texas, and everyone knows people like that ... not just in Texas. I do like the intro. It's not that hard to play either.

I was gonna be like FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WILL SOMEONE LINK TO THE INTRO ALREADY but then I youtubed and googled and discovered that it's nowhere to be found on the internet. So here's the next best thing: (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXC8n2qqRe0) a King of the Hill imitation intro which plays with convention by having a black man play the part of Hank. Enjoy!
