THe 'heaviness' of the controls are intentional, and will not be fixed most likely.
And then it just clicks. It was weird at first but it is actually great.

Makes perfect sense really. A soldier carrying heaps of gear plus wearing armour wouldn't be able to turn on a dime and bunny hop.

That is exactly the reasoning. The first game was similar.

Don't remember the first having weighty controls but it has been a while. I am now used to them and I understand what they are trying to do it makes perfect sense. Now at the wastelands, I was impressed by the graphics until now.... but this is just insane I have never seen anything like this. If you have played the demo, oh boy that was nothing, this the first game that deserves to be called next-gen. Amazing, just amazing.

Graphically, yeah, it's pretty cool, but I'm finding the gameplay to be pretty linear, standard shooter fare. It doesn't stand out, it doesn't suck; it's just average.

Well it is standard shooter fare, but it is fantastic at being standard shooter fare, I love this game. It's epic, plays great, brutal as can be, and so very very pretty. Let's see how Operation Flashpoint 2 will turn out huh, in the meantime, I am kinda busy :thumb:

Well, wow. So far the KZ2 experience has essentially been a check-list of shooter tropes (I'm about halfway in), but the insane amounts of polish and execution par excellence means I've had a hard time trying to put the controller down. The damn game just keeps drawing you back for more.
Graphically, it's a fucking tour de force. No surprises there to anyone who's played the demo; and it's no exaggeration to say that it only gets better from there. Apart from all that, I'm very impressed with the art direction and how it portrays the darkness and hostility of the planet you're fighting on. The game's nothing if not atmospheric.
Also tried multiplayer for a short while, and it was pretty good. Seemed to play a bit slower and was less 'twitchy' than Resistance 2, in my opinion. Anyone else fired up a multiplayer session here? What did you think?

It's fantastic and it only gets better as you level, it's a bit like Team Fortres once you unlock the other classes. The game keeps surprising I love it.
