I've been a lurker in these forums for a few years now and I noticed that most people deal with droids by running past them or use localised pryo.
Does any one realise that you can kill them by hiding behind corners? Just run along a wall and have one follow you. Then stand just behind a corner and wait for them to approach. When they get close enough, they will explode but you will be protected from the blast.
I'm sure some people already use this strategy. Posting this just in case.
I just found this strategy useful when playing melee or psi only.

I usually kill em with the laser pistol since its ammo is the easiest to replace.

Yes I know its boring but this post is mainly directed at those who want to play melee only.
I found it useful when playing on impossible. Since every thing costs so much from replicators on higher difficulty, I usually try to minimise the psi points or ammo I use. This is just one way of doing that.

I have used the corners to "kill" the droids for a long time. But that was in the melee-only days, it is simple enough to just shoot them with the laser pistol, a single overcharged shot does the trick.

You can easily wrench bots by standing just behind a narrow passage to the left, they will keep going back and forth if you position correctly. Bet you didn't know that :cool: :sly:
