Hi Ryushi :) The only other people who believe you about killing Almalexia are King Helseth and Barenziah.
The mod for letting Vivec (or any NPC or creature) travel with you is quite simple, it only requires one line of scripting as long as you have Tribunal installed. If you know what you're doing with the editor, you can embellish it as much as you want with custom dialogue and so on...I've got Vivec to cast several useful spells on command, such as heal (on me) and levitate, invisibility (on himself) I'll talk to you about it next time I see you on AIM, shall I? I'll be on again in the next few days......

How do you soul trap Amalezia's soul. I tried to and I had a grand soul gem in my inventory and when she died she still had the soul trap ring around her. Do you need Azura's Star to do this?

Yep, I think her soul is too big/powerful to be contained in anything lesser.
