hrm.. im kinda stuck on a particular part of the game. In the halfway town to Balmora (or whatever the name of the 1st town your suposed to go to is) I think its name is Pelgera or something, the one with the imperial cult. Anyway in the Inn theres a theif cat-chick, when i walked in she liked me and asked for my friendship and told me that there was a necro upstairs that had an interesting belt, (Halkar or something) i went up with the intention to taunt her untill she attacked me but i cant! when i talk to her all she says is 'what are you doing here, get lost" and the only option is goodbye. how can i get the belt from her or her room?
im really stuck here and want that stupid belt to please my kitty friend, i'll be off killing the bad theives guild in the meantime =P

You don't have to give her the belt... she is just doing you a favor by telling you where to get a valuable item.

ah ok then, how do i actually GET the belt? if i just attack her the whole bar comes running, even mrs. 98% faction kitty cat =P how do i fight just that woman? since i cant persuade i cant taunt, what am i suposed to do?

Try taking something from her dresser, sleep on her bed, or try to pickpocket her. Then she'll attack you. That way you can kill her without everyone in the building getting involved. It will be reported as a crime... but a very minor one ( petty theft-not murder [since you kinda kill her in self-defence] )... your bounty will probably be 5 or 10 gold-something small that no guards will care about. You can just pay it off at your local thieves guild.

ah alright i'll have to try that when i get back there, taking out the cal tong or whatever the evil thieves guild is, had to work my agility stat to get a X5 Multiplier so i let sneak run with the ctrl taped down while i was afk heh =) Ewww i really dont want any bounty at all.. also are you sure the other people wont jump in for me doing theft? ah well guess i'll find out later tonight when i give it a shot, tnx for the heads up. Man if i could just talk to her, personality is 80 with speachcraft very high, im sure i could taunt her to fight

If they don't see it, they won't get involved... shut the door behind you just to be safe. Too bad you can't just pickpocket the belt off her ;) My character has very high personality and speechcraft skills... If only I could've talked to her

I couldn't find a peacefull way to get the belt so I left. Did you think about that option? :p

of course, i actually did leave and am gonna try just robbing the dresser with the door closed when i go back though, i need to go talk to the cat chick anyway after taking out the brigands on the coast. but the fact that she worships the evil Dark elf gods makes me have to dipsense some justice to her =)
