No, the one with JC himself.

Originally I don't think that Beta Grove held a complete copy of SHODAN. I like to think, however, that as soon as the jettison procedure started, that she copied as much of herself to there as possible, as a backup.
The impression I got was that SHODAN permeated as much of the ship's systems as was possible; so the beta grove, when it ejected, carried a fragment of her still in it's now independent system - and that fragment was as good as any other part of her. Because we have to believe that when Polito interfaced that data wafer with the Von Braun's system (speculating here as to what she did to extract the speech sample), whatever was on the wafer was sophisticated enough to unleash SHODAN in her whole form onto the system.

Which part of Helios mythology do you mean?
If you're not being sarcastic, I'm referring to an AI in the Deus Ex games.
Kolya on 28/8/2006 at 12:14
No, I wasn't sarcastic about Helios. Thanks for explaining Vraptor7.

I think we're all just incapable of believing one of us hasn't played Deus Ex.
But ZB's right, you're a freak :nono:
Kolya on 29/8/2006 at 11:24
If I play it past the first mission one day, can I still be a freak? :D
Shevers on 29/8/2006 at 16:47
Took me months to force myself to play through the first mission. But goddammit, it was worth it!
ZylonBane on 29/8/2006 at 17:00
Yeah, the first mission is awesome! It has it all-- shooting, sneaking, hacking, emails, secrets, factions, nonlinearity, moral choices, backstory, side quests, upgrades, conversations... it's pretty much a perfect miniature model of the entire game.
Vigil on 29/8/2006 at 17:21
...stilted dialogue, implausible mission premise, crass and pointlessly evasive conspiracy theorising, vital security codes left lying out in the open...
Yup, you're right :D
Before you all leap down my throat, I actually do think Deus Ex is a fine game ;)

You'd think such a fan of SHODAN would write her name properly.
You'd think such a stickler for details would use the correct pronoun for SHODAN.
