I'm wanting to play the vanilla version of Kidnap (in NewDark), but with a fix so the diamond worth 50 outside Site 9 isn't sunk into the ground. Does anyone have a .dml code that I can apply?
Also, when I checked the .dml that comes with T2Fix to see if the aforementioned code was there (which it wasn't), I found that miss15.mis was Kidnap... Is there a reason it's 15 and not 12?

Sure, the following DML should move the diamond so that it can be obtained.
Code:
DML1
//Kidnap: Fix sunken diamond.
ObjProp 1195 "Position"
{
"Location" 8.48303, 6.71003, -2.15
"Heading" dd1d
"Pitch" 2aaa
}
You can either drop this in any mod folder as "miss15.mis.dml" or append the block below to an existing DML if you would prefer.
Code:
ObjProp 1195 "Position"
{
"Location" 8.48303, 6.71003, -2.15
"Heading" dd1d
"Pitch" 2aaa
}
Regarding the filename of the mission, several of them are not numbered according to the order in which they actually appear in the game. While it could be arbitrary, this is more probably because the place each mission has in the campaign was not finalized until after level construction was well underway.

Thanks Jax! The reason I'm asking is T2Fix changes the Cavador trio so much it makes that whole scenario no challenge any longer. I could even blackjack Cavador right outside his bedroom at site 5 without anyone alerting. In fact I can blackjack him from any shadow along his path with no issues. Either the sound of the blackjack is quieter, or the other guards have reduced hearing. You were never able to do that before. I suspect its AM16's bugfix pack that changes it. It's just deviating too much from the original release for me.
That pack also changes several guards in Life of the Party to now pivot, who never did so in the original mission. I didn't think T2Fix did more than fix problems, not change the gameplay experience.

No problem! T2Fix simply packages AM16's fixed missions and installs them if selected, so the changes you note would lie there. You can uninstall them through T2Fix as well if you would prefer, though, in doing so, you would certainly forgo their improvements. As far as I am aware, they are intended to be faithful to the original mission designs and gameplay, so it may be worth mentioning the changes you describe in the fixed missions thread if they are unnecessary.

Is the diamond not sunk into the ground in AM16´s fixed missions and thus there´s no need of the dml option?

Yes in AM16's version, the diamond is aboveground, so you don't need the dml. But I don't want the other changes that AM16 brings to Kidnap, so I have to play the vanilla version, but I need the dml to be able to get all the loot.

Wait, but diamond situation hasn't been fixed by AM16. It was fixed in official 1.18 release. Maybe even earlier. I remember that, because I watched Travis Whitsitt mentioning it in his supreme ghost run and I was like "What, what, what?... But it's fixed for me and I didn't download any special fix or version".
