I'm pleasantly astonished that it managed to make $850k, there must have been a real last-minute rush. Now we just have the agonising wait ahead of us. Although I qualify for early access, I'm going to be keeping well away and only playing it once I have my collector's edition in my hands, I don't want to spoil my enjoyment by over-exposure.
That's the plan anyway, I just hope I have the willpower to see it through.

Yeah, the last two days were really good. At first I was worried that we wouldn't get far past the base goal, so $850k isn't really that bad.
Now that the kickstarter is over and they're continuing the funding via PayPal, do you folks reckon that we'll get anywhere near the $1,000,000+ stretch goals over the next few months? Perhaps someone who has been following more of these projects before could tell how this "second stage" usually goes?

I haven't seen any data, but OtherSide did have this to say, during the campaign:
Quote:
We’re also going to continue to crowd-fund the game, so that we can reach at least a few more of the Stretch Goals that are not reached during this Kickstarter. Understand that when other developers have done crowd-funding following a Kickstarter that the pace of funding nearly always slows way down. So it will likely take many fold longer for us to move through the upcoming stretch goals than the pace we’re on now.

Currently it looks like it'll end up in the 900k range
Well, I was wrong. Still, not by much.

Very slowly (Otherside themselves expect that). It will probably only pick up midway through development, when people start seeing concrete results and become hyped.

I backed this. Looking forward to next year.
