The one thing about stuff covered with glossy black plastic (often optimistically called "piano lacquer" by manufacturers) is that it attracts dust like a vacuum cleaner and demands cleaning on a regular basis while being easily scratched at the same time.
When I was looking for a new keyboard I also read reviews and articles and forums and stuff about softness of keystrokes and satisfying key click sounds and responsiveness of keystrokes and input lag and all that other stuff which people find sooo important and just gets you confused.
In the end I got myself this keyboard:

I mainly use it for gaming, not for writing. The problem with backlight keyboards can be the translucency of the key labels. Sometimes the letters are hard to make out from certain angles and bright lighting conditions.
Pros:
I like the jog dials to adjust volume and the possibility to apply macros to 4 extra keys. The configuration software is okay.
Cons:
It comes with two USB connections. However, the connection is only USB 1.1 which really is a shame since a few extra easy accessible USB connections would be really neat. But with that connection speed those things are practically useless.
The attachment of the padding to the actual keyboard really is not the magic moment of keyboard manufacturing and I expected better quality for that price (~ 50 Euro).

I've had it for over 5 years and its so much more comfortable and easier to type on than a straight keyboard that I don't get how they aren't more popular.
It's painful just to think about how I'd try to train an Immortal (I) with my left hand while my right hand is on the mouse.

I've seen reports that the Microsoft Reclusa won't work with Windows 7 64 bit. Is this true?

Can´t comment on that, sorry. I´m using Vista 32 bit.

Hello old thread.
The main thing that completely put me off the idea of the big Logitech gaming keyboards like the G15, despite hearing good things about them, was their ridiculous size.
I was just looking at some information on the Logitech G110, which has the same features but in a much more normal form-factor and without the screen.
Anyone tried one of these?
The aforementioned Geekhack forum just said anything with rubber dome switches is rubbish, and then changed the topic and began to argue about keyboard layouts instead.
... which is an interesting point. Why does a company like Logitech, which is well known for selling keyboards, have such a poor representation on their site? They have regional sites, but all the images are still of US-layout keyboards even on the UK site. Some Google Image Searching reveals that there does exist a UK-layout variant with the full-sized enter key, but there are no official pictures of this. It seems to me that the least thing you'd want to do, as a major seller of keyboards around the world, would be to have accurate pictures on your localised websites. I'd certainly be extremely wary of buying a keyboard from someone who only had pictures of it with a US layout...
