This is probably a stupid question, but are there any files for TN that I could hack to change the key bindings in the game? I'm also looking to see if I can do the same thing to SShock. Because I really want to enjoy playing these games; however, the awkward interface is making it very difficult for me to do so...

HA! Ha! <IMG SRC="joker.gif" border="0">
Don't we all wish this was possible. Unfortunately, it's been stated that the interface bindings are hard coded into the executable for Shock 1. It's probably true for TN, too. :(

Ah, that's a shame. Well, life goes on. Time to go back and kick some pirate and SHODAN butt.

That's the spirit!!
System Shock is my favourite game of all time, so I strongly urge you to persevere with that one. And once you've gotten used to the Shock interface, Terra Nova's is a doddle, so it won't bother you much anymore :)
TN remains my all-time favourite quick-fix game -- something I can fire up for a fast mission or three, and then go and do something else (like sleep :) -- so both games are well worth the effort IMHO.
