Traffic seems to have slowed down here a bit lately. I wouldn't want to see it deserted too much, as a continued interest will only help to improve the development of ARX.

Well... no wonder, really. ARX isn't out yet, the UW games are old. But, the more I see about ARX, the more interested I get. I've been waiting for quite a long time for a UW3, but since that doesn't seem to happen I guess ARX could be something quite interesting.

Forums never really get much activity until the game is released (so has been my experience anyway) and the number of people coming really depends on how soon the game will be released. Considering there's little news on ARX, that the game is still a really long while away and that it's not really a high profile game (which is too bad since it really should be I might add) makes it really unsurprising that there is so little traffic...

I still check in every once and a while...but until we get closer to release it's going to be slow going..

I want Arx NOW!
I'm currently playing through Thief Gold, which of course is most excellent, but I yearn for some awesome FPRPG action. Don't make me replay Ultima 9!

Excoriator,
I've just got Baldur's Gate 2 yesterday and it seems like a really cool RPG. I've never played the first one but I saw some other people playing it and the charachterization seemed a little bit lacking ( if you compare it to Ultima). This one seems vastly improved, however.

Yop. I didn'tmuch care for BG, so I'll not be buying BG2.
I
am eagerly awaiting for Arcanum from Troika games though.

Yes maybe I was a little hasty about recommending BG2, as I only played the first one for about a day and never missed it. There are alot of things about it which isn't really to my liking including a lack of charachters that you feel attached to. I mean in Ultima or UW2 for example, I was devasted whenever one of my party died. I don't really give a toss about any of my party in BG2, however. Not too much anyway. Unlike black gate, where I found the conversations interesting and essential to the story and the feeling of the world, BG2 often forces the player into listening to utter babble. Whats more, I never feel like Im actually there, which is really what makes a game great.
However its definitely got its strong points. One of which is all the sub-plots and quests that you can choose to take up. Another is a very engaging combat system. Overall Im still having fun with it anyway
