For all those interested, new devblog is up
To those who signed up for alpha testing - I may delay the test a bit. My ones gave me a lot of feedback on things I want to improve before going for the second round. Sorry!

Yakoob, take the following with a huge grain of salt, since I wasn't a big fan of your last game - but I think you're a great ideas/story man, but you very much need an editor. Your post's mention of walls of text and my recollections of Postmortem suggest that you need someone who can help you pare down what you've got, because in my opinion this would help you achieve the same effect more strongly. It's also the kind of thing where someone else might be better at helping you kill your darlings than you are yourself. It's been too long since I played Postmortem to give you a very confident opinion here, but what I remember is that your style would work well for narration, but the characters never felt like characters because they all talked so much without developing enough of a voice of their own. That's where someone else with an editor's pair of scissors could help - even if you end up not cutting as much as the editor might suggest, it could help you look at your writing, its strengths and its weaknesses from the outside.

Thirith, you're absolutely right, I do like to think I have good idea but I am way too verbose and too technical in my writing (something I am working on!). I am in fact looking to hire a writer/story editor exactly for that reason (at GDC I pretty much walked into the writer roundtable and said "I'm hiring!" and got flooded with cards haha).
Speaking of GDC, just wrote up a brief list tips for anyone thinking of attending in the future:
