I love Morrowind alot but the run from one town to the other without the Silt things and boats are very long. With my char i dont like to cheat since it just ruins the game. All im asking is. Is is cheating to set my speed to an higher lvl since mine is maxed at 100 to say 650 :ebil: just to travel around. If its an cheat guess i try to find the person with the boots of 200 speed. Thanks for all the info

Yeah find the boots, both my thief and assassin have the Boots of Blinding Speed and the Saviors Hide Curiass. Another way to help yourself get around if you haven't already done it would be to do the quests and get the Master Index for those Propylon Chambers.

Would it be cheating to player-> setspeed 650 in console?
Yes.
Would it improve your enjoyment of the game?
It did mine.
Would it improve your game to essentially limit your graphics to your overhead map, pausing every once in a while to try to get a glimmer of where the hell you are?
No, probably not.
Do I care if you cheat on this?
No.
Do you care if you cheat on this?

Well, you could always use the Icarian flight scrolls (By using one, jumping up, falling down, casting again before hitting the ground - buddabing - 1000 increase to agility. Jump across the world! (It's bloody useless, btw)

if ya use the soultrap glitch or the console command then yeah but it's worth it, the thing is make multiple save of the same char then cheat on one, this is jus incase when ya increase ya speed it might mess up
I dunno if this has happened to anyone else but when I ate about 10 moonsugars, I ran and then I went into this blue screen and I could see the house that I was jus in, looks good until ya use levitate to get around and then forget to cast it again and fall to ya death and fall through the roof of the house ya was in

the boots of blinding speed cam be found on perminieieiei (or something like that, lol, well it's prnounced per-men-na-mie) on the orad between ald ruhn and caldera.
the cool thing is that you don't need the curiass of the saviors hide.
i made a spell that had 100% magic resistance for 3 seconds. i cast it, put on boots, then i resist the magic. As long as the boots saty on, you'll see clear as day.
hope this helps

Of course, resisting the magic is an exploit in of itself since it's not intended, which is the same as cheating!
Eater1 on 14/7/2003 at 19:55
Well, I think what is intended is actually using the boats and silt striders - I mean, really: they regenerate your mana, are cheap, and go almost anywhere!
Eater.

Oh, just quit whining. =P
Me, personally... I have wanderlust. I explore the same areas 50-60 times sometimes. I haven't even beaten the game yet, or gotten all that far (maybe 9 or 10 hours of play), although that's probably cuz I'm a perfectionist and though I love roleplaying games I'm not terribly good at them. Never beaten a Final Fantasy. Never beaten Secret of Mana (got fairly close). Never beat Tales of Phantasia. Never beat Star Ocean. Never beat Bahamut Lagoon. Never beat Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura (a really underappreciated game, by the way). Only videogame RPG's I've ever beaten are Seiken Densetsu 3 and Front Mission. I just love to go around exploring the areas. Get inspiration. Enjoy myself. That's why I walk about 9/10's of the time in Morrowind.
