Just got myself a iPod Touch.
After fiddling, getting all my tracks into iTunes and into the iPod (first apple product...), I was just listening to a random playlist and heard something I recognised but couldn't ID.
To my supprise there was SHODAN looking at me! :eek:
I had forgotten I had downloaded Chicajo's SS1 sound track and remixes. I'd also forgotten I had put SHODAN into the album art of the MP3 :laff:
Gave me a few goose bumps there! :o

Shodan could never take over an iPod, though. She wouldn't be able to load herself onto their specialized hardware. :P

That was just the information I needed to confirm my suspicions regarding why we haven't gotten a System Shock 3.
With a little help from string theory [M theory] + unifying theory to explain why gravity is so weak compared to the other three forces + Quantum physics...

So thats why it won't tether through bluetooth, or allow me to next/prev track through my stereo headset.
Why using voice control merly plays random tracks and rarely gets it right.
Why iTunes took an entire evening to encode 270 wma's to aac
Its just SHODAN trying to send me mad!!!!!

The situation is worst than I originally posted about above. The thread related to "Shodan invades the Sims" has presented additional evidence to postulate a different potential outcome related to YOUR "iPod Touch".
I feel I was in error in drawing a conclusion as to Shodan making the leap from the VB right to YOUR iPod Touch. The Sims information in the other thread helps fill in some much needed information to draw a more imaginative, er... plausible conjecture related reply to your post.
Shodan after having intermixed [That's right, Shodan is Bi... Dimensional] with Rebeca on the escape pod makes a 2 dimensional [For the most part, as there is a small amount of 3D depth] leap to the sims. There Shodan engages in a little Bi Dimensional action with Delacroix at her first job [Thanks Trance] as a escort service employee. Shodan seeks a little SIMS [Sexual Interlude Maid Scenario] action. Everything seems fine until Shodan asks Delacroix to let go of my Eggo [Elementary Gray Goo Output].
Bottom line Cosmicnut, your the key master to Shodan making the leap to this world via YOUR iPod Touch. Be wary of any female asking to borrow YOUR Ipod Touch.
It will seem Innocent enough. My phone isn't charged, batteries low, no signal so I can't download the song I want, etc.. The premise here is to play on your human emotional response mechanism relating to helping out. You lend her YOUR iPod Touch. She conveniently excuses herself to the rest room with YOUR iPod Touch. Once in a private setting the gate keeper gently nudges asides the restrictions to her domain. Now with the proper download selected she hits ENTER. The free world as we have known it is about to end.
