Hey guys!
Im new here, so I just wanted to say "Hello" to this lovely community ^^
(...just stunned about how friendly and helpful this forum is)
So I´m totally a thief enthusiast (except of the last one :mad: ).
Lovin´ this game since I played the demo of Thief 2 (which was on a magazin´s CD back in 2000).
It was the Angelwatch-Tower Mission and I played it for weeks again and again till my grandparents bought the game for me :cheeky:
Its definitly one of the best games I´ve ever played. I think (probably like the most of you) since Thief 2 there was no stealth game released which was that immersive and atmospheric.
Before I forget:
I also wanted to say "thank you very much" to @nicked for creating this absolutly fine beginner tutorial for dromed. Its definitly one of the best tutorials I´ve ever read. :thumb::thumb::thumb:
(...fooled around with some editors like worldcraft in the past :p )
But I´m glad to be here and (hopefully) going to release at least one FM for thief 2 this year, if my job let me :laff:

Welcome to the club. Play all the FMs you can too. If you have not yet, play T2X. It is a cool prequel. Get a copy of Thief Gold from Ebay for a few bucks and try that out if you have not yet. There are some good FMs that only play on T1/TG. As for T2 FMs, there are so many posts on what is recommended, just check those out if you haven't already.
Over the past year, I have gone back and tried some FMs I initially hated - mostly due to very high difficulty. I've gotten through a lot of these now. They do help with building patience. Some of the newest FMs are full of eye candy, but they may make your system crawl. Hardware issues are a factor. I find any box with an nVidia card tends to not do so well - even with a lot of memory and a good CPU.
