Like Bjossi said, X18 is the first lab you go into. It's located in Dark Valley. When you get out with the docs, you are contacted by Sidorovitch, telling you that the passage to the Garbage is inaccessible, and that you should leave towards Cordon. Once there, you can talk to Sid and show him the documents. After that, the mission that allows you to get a Tourist Suit becomes available.
As for the Exoskeleton, you can get one from Skinflint. He's the trader in the Freedom base, and you'll be able to buy an Exoskeleton from him after you perform a few missions for Lukash (he's the leader of Freedom). It will cost you 200.000 Ru though. If you don't get it from him, then the only place you'll find one is inside the NPP (I was able to find three of them in there, but I'm not sure if there are any more).
Unless, of course, that you're lucky enough to get the information regarding Fang's stash in Pripyat - it's very difficult to get that information, which is usually found in lone stalkers at Yantar. It's well worth it though, since the stash contains an enhanced Exoskeleton (it has the cool blue night vision, instead of the annoying green one that regular Exoskeletons have) and a Mama's Beads artifact.

-O i thought that was the barkeep talking to me, i didn't noticed because i was to damn busy avoiding bullets from 2 parties & shooting with leftovers
Yeah he said something about leaving towards garbage but when i arrived at garbage i probably went to see the barkeep because i thought he was the one on the phone.
-got it, kill al the lone stalkers in yantar
then i should normally come acros that location i hope

Not a certainty. In all my runs through the game, I've only found the information about that stash once. And it was only after I returned to Yantar several times, and every time I went there I'd search the bodies of dead stalkers again.

Night Stars aren't easily found during the earlier stages of the game (although they are very common in Pripyat), but you can get one as a reward from Baldy - he's inside the Bar - if you accomplish a mission for him, which is to kill a Stalker in the Army Warehouse area.
Just happened to play through X18 again, one stash inside the lab had a Night Star. Random luck.... but at least this adds one more option for getting the artifact.
