There are way too many explosives there if you ask me. Still, shouldn't complain.
As for the inventory:
1) Crossbow
2) Assault Rifle
3) Dragons Tooth (after HK)/ Flamethrower before
4) Riot Prod
5) Sniper Rifle
6) Gas Grenade
7) LAM/Scrambler/EMP (swaps a lot)
8) Multitool
9) Lockpick

I max out the melee skill and even the dragon's tooth doesn't let me hack open locks, but the sniper rifle with maxed ouyt rifles takes out anything! :mad:
Still... that's what the GEP gun's for! :thumb:

I loved that game. Fantastic immersion. I had so much fun with the NPCs back at base.

For the second time now, a saved game has been corupted so I can't get back to a previous location.
I had blasted the ship, but when I try to get back onto the roof of the building, the game crashes at a location transition.
As I really don't feel like doing the whole ship thing again right now, I'm taking a break and might have another go later in the year.

Did you jump into the ocean when the ship was already sinking? I had a similar corrupted save once at that point when I had done that.

I think so, yes. I believe that swimming around and the explosions and earthquake-like bumps of the whole map are a mixture that makes the DX engine commit suicide.
<small>(and by plain normal real life logic... would <i>you</i> jump into the sea around an exploding, sinking superfreighter and go for a nice little diving trip? I most certainly wouldn't. ;)</small>
If you have a save before you jumped into the water, try to load that one and leave by the ramp without much further exploration. Just head back out, either by the elevatorshaft or the plain and nondramatical route through the Navy "building."

Half a year later
I've started playing again !
Got through the whole Versa Life saga yesterday evening and am about to depart for New York to look for that Ship.
:)
The only saved games I could find on my back-up CDs were from when I was in Hong Kong.
