I looked in the faqs but found nothing. I would like to be able to post attachments but it is not enabled on my profile. How do I get the right to do so?

Attachments are not allowed on TTLG as far as I know. You can upload something to a server and post a link to it, though, with the Insert Link button.

The faqs mentioned that attachments are allowed if the moderator lets you. So I guess I want to know at what point does a moderator trust you enough to not post something offensive. At the very bottom of the post screen is the posting rules.
It looks like this:
Posting Rules
You may post new threads
You may post replies
You may not post attachments
You may edit your posts

That FAQ is a standard part of the vBulletin software which we haven't changed the wording of. Attachments are not enabled for anyone, and never will be, for two main reasons: 1) the possibility for abuse / misuse is always a factor, and we don't want to have to manually approve or deny every single attachment as it appears because it'd be a ton of work and a painfully slow process that would make things irritating for everyone who wanted to attach files and 2) all attachments would be hosted on our server, use extra bandwidth and operations, and generally reduce the efficiency of TTLG while increasing our costs.
There are many free web-based hosting solutions available if you need that sort of thing and don't have webspace of your own.

Just because it says that an Admin (not moderator) can let you post attachments doesn't mean that they ever
will let you. Like I said, I don't think TTLG does attachments in posts. But in any case, you can just upload your file somewhere else, like (
http://www.megaupload.com/) Megaupload, and link to it.
[EDIT]Aaugh, GBM beat me to it.
