No, it definitely sounds like 'Magi'. I've heard other characters asking for help in the game, and this is not it. Furthermore, they don't say it as if they're in need of help, they say it in a somewhat angry tone (normally when they spot me and run for cover).

I see, that's most probably "мочи" [ma'chi], the slang meaning is "kill". Zombies quite often use it, they pronounce it 'macheeeeeeeeeee'

That's exactly it! I didn't remember about the zombies also saying it. Thanks! :)

I didn't hear this even once playing Russian version, at least I don't remember it  He says "А ну, чики-брик и в дамки" [a nu, chicki-brik i v damki] which kind of hard to translate but it means something like "common, to and fro and crown" (crown here means a term from chequers game when a checker becomes king). Yes, they taunt player saying this.
That does seem hard to translate. I don't understand where 'common' fits in there at all. As for the rest perhaps it is like when westerners give a sports commentary of themselves to taunt someone "He ducks! He weaves! Blinding speed! He drives the left home!" (a boxing version)

My error. Not "common" but "come on"

A paraphrase: "come on, just one small effort from you and you'll gain your end, do it"

Speaking of wonders of non-scripted gameplay...
I finally got mod I wanted to work, and I was kicking ass in Cordon. I just came back from Bandit Camp, talk to Wolf, and what the hell, I'll just whack the boars and then talk to Sid.
So I kill the two boars, get Jellyfish from the boxes, and come back. I noticed that the "Human counter" showed something, then I realized it's the military patrol on the road. I ignore this and just go back to the camp.
I get my reward from Wolf, get the quest to kill the Flesh(Aren't they adorable?) then... I hear gunfire. The dude on the lookout gets iced, and the military patrol attacks the camp! I guess they must've followed me here because I killed their dinner. So I get in the ceiling of building behind Wolf and "snipe" them with my PB 6P6 through the small opening on the side. Wolf himself is merciless with his AK-74SU. So anyway, we kill the guys, one dead rookie is stuck in a fence, I loot the bodies and think to myself it's nice to have AK this soon though I know I won't get much ammo for it now. I get down to the Sid and give him the flash, he starts explaining about his special mission, and... I hear gunfire again.
My first reaction is: I don't give a shit. I ignore it, I don't like to be interrupted when listening to someone and besides more bodies = more stashes, so I just listen what Sid has to say. But then I start worrying: If they kill Wolf, my Farm quest will be ruined, and it will haunt me through the whole game.
And sure enough, as he finishes his sentence I get the "Quest failed" message.
What can I do? I load the save, and run topside. I equip the AK and take position in the same ceiling as before... when suddenly there are military baddies everywhere. It seems like
entire goddamn outpost is attacking us. Wolf has no chance.
Change of plans then. I load save again, and get on the roof of the building with hidden merc suit to draw enemy fire, since I have best armor and I'm the only one who knows how to use medkits. I try to do headshots with the AK but it's quite pointless, so I at least try to force them into cover. At the same time a bloody battle rages on the ground. Rain just pours down and it gets kinda dark. I get pretty whacked, my armor goes to shit, and worst of all - I run out of bullets for my AK. At the same time the enemies are dying at very unsatisfactionary rate. Seeing that if I don't do something the camp will be obliterated I get out my PB, scream "This is SPARTA!"(Not really) and get on the ground, basically walking into or flanking the soldiers and trying to shoot them in the face. Amazingly, this works. I hunt down the last grunt hiding in some bushes and (
http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/9158/sskoki011708125410l01esvy5.jpg) gaze upon the battlefield. Nimble, who suprisingly survived whole battle, goes back to sleep. One rookie starts playing guitar.
Number of camp survivors, excluding me and Sid: 4
Wolf still alive.
For their bravery, I equipped all rookies with looted AKs.
Oh, and it
was entire military camp attacking us... I checked their outpost later, and there were only two grunts there. So I killed them and looted the place. And I'm rich.

Killing the military patrol early in the game, especially when close to their base, is a VERY bad idea. The military go berserk. Expect to find them a lot more often now, patrolling not only Cordon but also the Garbage area.
P.S.- I suppose that after killing all those soldiers you must have lots of ammo for the AK. But you might want to check the roof of the factory (jump on the truck, then from there to the roof). There is a small metal crate there, containing 150 5.45 rounds.

Protecting the rookie camp becomes a hobby when you get an exoskeleton and a good NATO rifle like the GP37. Hell, if you're loaded with guns and ammo in a stash (like at the Bar), you could give everyone at the camp NATO rifles. I haven't tried this but it would certainly give the military a hard time.

Was there even a real competition? The only other games that managed to give me the same immersion feeling as Stalker were the System Shock ones. There's just something about this game that makes me want to come back to it over and over again.
