That's pomogite [pama'gitie], i.e. "help!" :)
ahhhh, that makes sense. What are they saying when you point a gun in their face and they say something like "angio brow"?(excuse the no doubt appalling spelling)

I can't remember and the game is uninstalled (temporally :) ) so I can't check.
Can't decipher "angio brow" either :erm: :D

They are telling you to put away your weapon. According to the Zone Survival Guide, this is the exact translation:
<i>"Put away your weapon! Barrel on the shoulder, man! Put your barrel away! Put down your weapon man! No time for jokes, hide your weapon!"</i>
The audio clip is (

I was pretty sure they said that, it is not very fun to have a stranger/a guy with bad rep aim a gun at your face. ;)

Ah, much obliged.

Wow, I think I've only heard them screaming for help when they're lying down and want a medkit. But anyway, if the guy is refusing a fully loaded GP-37, then he deserves to be chased by a Bloodsucker.
Yeah it was weird. I knew the words but I had never heard them spoken like this. I'd never heard that particular sound file before. And I didn't even know that running away like that was an AI behaviour (outside of wildlife), so it was a surprise.
btw I think by 'angio brow' he's talking about them saying 'arugey ah burrell' or something like that (hopefully my phoenetic horror is adequate). I've worked out 'arugey' is 'weapon' (thanks in part to The Bourne Ultimatum and other sound clips like 'Ah pustey arugey').
The translations on that site are a bit scanty (fair enough. It can't be all that straightforward pulling them out and uploading them). I'd love to know a whole host of others though, like 'Tak!' (I assume that's like 'Halt') and that weird combat phrase that sounds a bit like "Ooom Macha macha!" (I noticed lots of people say it but it was the weird exagerated way the monolith guys say it that made it stick in my head) as well as what on earth the bandits are saying with that "Hello Chickybricky. Uvdarkye". There is some corrupted english in there isn't there?

Can't figure out what is "ah burrell". But yes, "arugey" is "оружие" [a'ruzhiye], i.e. "weapon". The only sentence I can think about is "оружие опустил!" [a'ruzhiye apus'til] which means "down your weapon!".

No, it means "well", like in the sentence "well, let's see what we have here".

:erg: Don't know what it is :) If you posted a link to soundfile it would guarantee deciphering, because those transcripts are far from correct pronouncing, at least I can't decipher them :)

The one that intrigues me the most is when Monolithers say something that sounds like 'Magie!'.

I don't know if I'm allowed to do this but I couldn't be bothered altering these files into something more copyright violation resistant. It's for cultural enrichment so hopefully its ok.
This is the notorious bandit 'Chicky Bricky' clip (I would have sworn they were taunting me/us when they were saying this, but given where I found the file now I'm not so sure)
(

This is the monolith comment that stuck in my head (on closer inspection it sounds like 'Ooom machvasha')
(
http://members.iinet.net.au/~ragtag/attack_4.ogg)
This is, I think, the "angio brow" clip from earier (aruzhiye something or other)
(

I'd also like to know what 'vrak!' and 'stwoll' are (I'll probably have to look those clips up too I guess) :cheeky:

I didn't hear this even once playing Russian version, at least I don't remember it  He says "А ну, чики-брик и в дамки" [a nu, chicki-brik i v damki] which kind of hard to translate but it means something like "common, to and fro and crown" (crown here means a term from chequers game when a checker becomes king). Yes, they taunt player saying this.
;) This one is really very common. Here he says "У, мать вашу!" [uuu, mat' vashu] - "(pain expression), fuck".
That's "оружие убрал" [aruzhiye ubral] - "hide your weapon".

"Враг" [vrag] - "enemy"
"Ствол" [stwol] - "barrel"

Maybe "Помоги" [poma'gi] ? Which means "help!"
