Invisibility is very useful in the Body of the Many, not a bad choice on the first runthrough. The brain room gave me and even my AR a hard time years ago.

Argh! I keep reading about people ordering from Games Warehouse for $6 shipping, and when I ask I get told it's $35 (to the UK). Seriously, anyone want to order one for me? :D
I think I'm just really, really unlucky :(
Bjossi on 27/4/2007 at 13:15
That sucks, but $35 isn't all that bad compared to what game you will get to play.

Yeah it's just silly to spend more on PnP than on the product itself... it's the principle of the thing :p
Taken from the FAQ:
"You can purchase System Shock 2 from Games Warehouse in Australia who ship worldwide. For a copy of the game and shipping to the UK the price is AU$16, which is around £7. An excellent price."
Has anyone actually ordered at this price who isn't living in Oz? I've just noticed that a lot of posters here are ozzie (not the bat-eating variety) :)

Thanks for posting your thoughts on the game.
I always get a great feeling when reading about people's first time through. Makes me remember mine :)
I bought a few copies of the Black Diamond version of the game from EB while they still had stock.
AU$10 for a pack containing two CD's of the game.
Not sure why Australia is the only place to get it from nowadays, but it's a change from usually being left out ;-)

Well, I had about a hundred cyber modules saved up before I went in, kept dying. Then I went back and got invis. Piece of cake from then on.

Thanks Mighty. I guess the reason we are getting relatively cheap games is proximity to Japan, India and china, where a lot of the manufacture takes place these days.
Finished another run through as a PSI character this time, but to keep things interesting didn't use invis- too easy. Invested in the crystal shard though, even more overpowered than the wrench once exotic skill is up.The one that made enemies attack each other was a pretty powerful skill once I got it though. Cleaned out the last bit by hacing rumblers do the hard work for me!
Bjossi on 10/5/2007 at 01:14
Crystal shard gets immense damage bonuses due to a bug as far as I know, the wrench doesn't.

That was my favourite power too. Neural restructuring I think. Although in Multiplayer D'Arcy used to kill all my new friends :(
Then again if he didn't they usually ended up killing me when their "mood" changed...
Bjossi on 11/5/2007 at 21:19
I hate to say it but I have never used that power even once, and I have done at least 15 runthroughs. :o

Your new friends always seemed to have a disturbing tendency to casually come strolling around me. Friend or not, I get nervous when I get a Rumbler breathing on my neck, especially when I have no idea of when will he snap. A good Rumbler is a dead rumbler :cheeky:
