Hi all, lurked for ages on the forum before registering.
I just bought System Shock 2 from K-mart here in Newcastle. Sold in some Target in some series called the "Black Diamond" games series. :D
Oh well, off to engineering...

What price was it? Games Warehouse, based in Melbourne, sells the same version for $10.

Yes, $10. Didn't know it was still available.

Thanks. I ordered a copy from Games Warehouse a few weeks ago as a backup to my existing copy, along with several other games. $250 worth of games and only $6 shipping is sweet.

$250 eh? What other games did you get?
Anyway, made it through engineering, but it was tough.
Ran out of med hypos and all other healing, kept getting killed by turrets and having to be resurrected and then try and make it through the cargo bays. Must have died about 6-7 times. Couldn't find a surgical unit in cargo, and hack skill wasn't high enough to disable the turrets, pistols kept jamming.
And ran out of virtually all types of ammo for my pistol, had to take a turret down with anti-personell ammo, which took ages.
Thank heavens for the wrench. Is it just me or is the wrench the best weapon in the game? ie, Doesn't actually wear out after firing about a dozen shots.
On to Hydro, can't get to deck 4 yet.

If you'd use the wrench for killing most bad guys, you'd have a hard time jamming your weapons or running out of ammo. :)

I think mid-way through engineering (cargo bay area/etc) must be one of the hardest sections in the game for new players. It was the place that I struggled with the most when I first played SS2. Loads of respawning, loads of enemies, loads of turrets and on top of all that, you're still fully getting to grips with how to play the game well. Fun fun.

Beyond Good & Evil
Half-Life Anthology
Grim Fandango
Totally Unreal - Unreal, Na Pali and UT
Far Cry
Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time
KOTOR and KOTOR 2
Dungeon Siege Gold
Dungeon Keeper 2
Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich
An explanation regarding HL - some fucker must have snagged my legit key a few years ago with a keygen, and the proof of purchase for my legit copy is long gone. It saves a bit of updating anyway.

Totally Unreal? Good choice there.
I wish I had the option to be able to play those games again when not knowing what is in the next room. The same applies for pretty much all my games...

Oh well, finished engineering now- found poor sanger alone and dead, but got the code for the fluidics computer and installed the override.
Found a new beasty called a cyborg midwife in the base of the ship once the power was back on. Went down with a few bashes of the wrench.
Couldn't make it to ops, so went to hydro instead.

I do- except for Turrets, bots and droids. They all go boom when I kill them, and I get damaged when they die. I also tend to shoot monkeys, because they're so small, they;re hard to hit with the wrench.
