ok thanks, i've been playing a while now, since i'm a woodelf and need light armour i bought chittin armour all round,my level at the moment is lv4.2,i'm on a fighters guild quest to stop some egg poachers in a mine by balmora, and to interviews for that blades master man!
Where are all of you?,you seem like masters at the game, have you beaten this guy Dagoth Ur??? (if you have to? :erg: ).

I haven't beaten Dagoth Ur yet, though I have everything I need to do so. I guess I'm just pacing myself, and playing Tribunal- I want to finish the main quest in time for Bloodmoon, in May.
I am a level 65 Dunmer female. If you look in the 'Pictures of ur character' thread on the MW gen. discussion forum, you'll see pictures of many of our characters.

I've been playing for about 3 months. It really helped me stay sane during the winter. I have 3 characters, only one of which that I did the main quest with. I'm trying out other factions and quests with my new ones. It's a completley different experience with each.
Just do whatever you think is fun. You don't have to do the main quest (beat DU) if you don't want to. In fact, at level 4 I suggest that you slow down a bit and do other stuff--just explore and find quests--to build up your skills some more. Then the main quest will be easier.
Speechcraft is a very underated skill; I suggest you get some training from Caius and practice persuasion on unimportant characters. That will increase your personality score which will make people trust you more and give you more interesting things to do.

Can you tell me if Chitten is a good enough armour for a level 4,that needs light armour also!,and have you got an idea of the next essensial light armour i shouid get?
Forsythe on 27/3/2003 at 21:59
I've beaten it 4 times so far, using a different race and House each time (well the 1st 3 times a different House), and it's truly as has already been said; one thing to note is that the major differences between chars is mostly in your own head. If you like a touch of roleplaying your char, it makes all the difference. The Guilds, in the end, are all the same for all characters, but the Houses are vastly different in both attitude and approach; that, and your own imagination, can make it an entirely new game each time.
Just do as sneeksie said: Take it slow; that way, you'll be able to savor the game ;)

*chuckle* Y'see, I was replying to the last post I'd seen when I hit 'reply', and that was sneeksie's. As to your subsequent questions, I haven't played in ~6 months or more (work's fault, I'm afraid), so I couldn't say for certain. You might check out the sword of white woe, which is on top of a cabinet in one of Balmora's guard towers, but I can't recall if that's a short- or long- sword. As to armor, chitin's 'okay'.. but you should always try to get the best you can; skipping levels of armor will ultimately save you cash.

What he's saying is that you should take your time in playing, Try all sorts of weapons, try all of your skills. The joy of this game is that you can explore the entire world, try all sorts of approaches to problems. you don't need specific armour to so solve your problems, it's nice but you don't need it. Look at your style of play, perhaps you should try using bow's more, or magic. theres lots to do out there so have fun.

In one the the Vivec cantons, down in the sewers there's a nice daedric dagger. It's next to a skelectal(sp) corpse at a little 6th house shrine. Sorry I don't remember which canton it was in, but you'll get a lot of practice killing rats looking for it.
