A sentence ends in period, not comma.

Using the wrong abbreviations says to me that you don't understand what you're talking about. You lose some credibility.

There is knowing what one is talking about and then there is being pedantic (
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Rabel) rabel... Assuming you do actually need help from time to time, I'll remind myself not to bother in your case...

btw (hope you don't mind posting it here, biker ), which modern PSU in 350-450W (max!) range would you recommend?
I can recommend the FSP Fortron/Source Zen 400W ATX 2.2.
Inline Image:
http://geizhals.at/img/pix/263564.jpgIt has all the features you are looking for.
fanless --> no fan noise ;)
active PFC
Connections: 1x 24/20-pin, 1x 8-pin EPS12V, 1x 4-pin ATX12V, 2x 6-pin PCIe, 6x SATA Power, 6x IDE Power, 2x Floppy
+3.3V: 20A
+5V: 14A
+12V1: 14A
+12V2: 13A
-12V: 0.5A
+5Vsb: 2.5A
Average efficiency: 85%, 80 PLUS bronze certified
I bought this PSU 1,5 years ago and use it with an C2D E8500, HD4850, 2 harddrives, 1 optical drive without any problems.
Comes at a price though, 120 Euros around here. But you didn´t mention any price limits, so there :p.
There´s a 300 W edition for almost half the price...

If a fanless PSU is out of the question try an
Enermax MODU82+ or PRO82+. It´s basically same power unit, the MODU82 just festures a modular cable management, meaning you can detach cables you don´t need therefore decreasing the cable spaghetti and improving air flow in the case.
The MODU82+ got a lot of praise in this SilentPCreview (
http://www.silentpcreview.com/article806-page1.html) review.

The big fan serves to draw hot air from the CPU through the PSU outside of the case (if the PSU is installed in the top of the case). The grill cover of the fan (according to some reviews) may conflict with passive CPU cooling towers. I had a Scythe Ninja CU installed without having to remove the grill.
MODU82+ 425W (same for PRO82+)
120mm fan
active PFC
connectors (removable): 1x 20/24-pin, 1x 8/4-pin ATX12V, 2x 6/8-pin PCIe, 3x SATA Power, 6x IDE Power, 1x Floppy, 1x 4-pin Molex
+3.3V: 20A
+5V: 20A
+12V1: 22A
+12V2: 22A
+12V3: 22A
-12V: 0.6A
+5V SB: 3.0A
average efficiency: 84%, 80 PLUS Bronze certified

This looks like a good PSU, but us per most "branded" items, this one carries a price premium - £75-95 and its a 3x 12V rail hence the volt drop(11.05V under full load)

I am now looking at a Silverstone SST-DA1000 or a Noctuna RK-1K
