That's the normal ending? I've only ever seen the Director's Cut ending, where Ford and what's-her-name leave together with the implication that Ford is an android himself.

Now that you mention it, i had something like that on my mind too but i wasn't really sure. Anyway both make for a great ending i think.

The rooftop scene is not the last scene of the movie, not in the theatrical version and not in the director's cut. In the theatrical version, the movie ends with Deckard and Rachel driving away in the countryside (a happy ending), the director's cut ends with the elevator doors closing after leaving Deckard's place (a more ambiguous ending). The rooftop scene takes place before those ending scenes.
