Huh, didn't realise Graeme Devine was working at Magic Leap. Very cool guy, used to frequent the Mac forum over on Quake3World when he worked at id.

So, Magic Leap are hinting that the headset will finally be released (or something) (https://www.roadtovr.com/magic-leap-one-release-date-launch-teased/) today.

Details have been leaking here and there over the past half-year, and the final product is looking less like the reality-bending spectacle hyped originally, and more like a slightly-better version of the MS Hololens. I'm still looking forward to reading reviews of the final product though, and I'm hoping this'll at least be a small step forward for AR.

edit: ah, apparently the "Magic Leap One Creator Edition" ships today. In the US, for $2,295.
