Just a short tune... - by Xenith

Hi. Uhm... wow it feels awkward posting here for the first time at my "forum age"...
Anyway, I've been listening to the System Shock 2 soundtrack and decided to do some remixes on some of the tunes. So far I've done "Ops 2" (at least that's how it was labeled in my soundtrack folder) and you can listen to it and download it here: (

So... yeah, leave some opinions please, here or there, doesn't matter. Feel free to bash (or praise?) the tune as much as you want just give some constructive criticism if you can since I like tweaking songs after their done. If you don't like the style in which the song is made, well... there's not much I can do about it.
I guess I'll be updating this thread with some more SS2 remixed tunes once I get more free time to make some (I'm right in the middle of final degree exams... on a mine field... with air strikes coming from all directions). And no, I'm not promoting the site on which I've uploaded the file, just sharing.

I like the remix, nice stuff!
The only my 2 cents are:
- In a full song it would be better to avoid constant looping of main melodic theme - may be introduce some variations (like it was done in original track) or intermissions.
- Some scrambled voice samples (on a back, possibly inrecognizable) or sound effects may strongly improve overall audibility of track, in my opinion.
Waiting for a full track release!
Keep up the good work!

I like it, good job Xenith!
A breakdown 75% in would be good.

About the repetition; because it's a short loop, I didn't think it's that much of a big deal, since I was trying to remain close to the original which plays almost the same. About effects... I don't know, I'll see if I can get some in there without making it too crowded.
A breakdown
would probably work well at some point. I'll rewrite some parts.
Thanks for the ideas so far!
