On a related note, for a pixel error class 2 (or whatever it's called) display, how big is the chance to actually get one without a single error?
The reason I'm asking is because the online retailer I'm gonna buy my new display from is offering a "testing service" for 20 euros, that assures you'll get an error-free display. But if actually most of the displays are error-free anyway, then there wouldn't be any point in paying extra.
On the other hand, the mere fact that they offer this service means if you don't make use of it the chance of getting some pixel errors increases - they have to dump all those displays that fall through the testing somewhere, right? Hmm...

£10 aint too bad, but that said here in the UK we have a 7 day distance selling act, so if the monitor did turn up with a couple of dead pixels I would just return it.
the thing you want to check, is what guarantee the manufacturer give with regard to dead pixels - for (

Ours is 14 days. And yeah, I thought about that but especially in this case I'd need to know if faulty pixels occur often or not - if say 3 out of 4 displays have them, then buying one and sending it back and forth would be too big a gamble. But if only like 5-10% have them, then it's a decent chance that if I get one and return it, the second won't have any.

So I did a search for any 22" out there with something other than a TN panel. Came up with this:
<a href="http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/uk/en/sm/WF05a/382087-382087-64283-444767-444767-3648453.html">LP2275w</a>.
Which uses PVA. Any opinions?
I mentioned gaming as the primary use up above. Actually tho my PC is my main video\tv viewing unit too (as I don't actually own a TV!) so I was a bit concerned with talk of viewing angles, and it's also it's part of why I want something Big.
