John Bain was probably one of the most influential critics the gaming industry has had so far. I discovered quite a few indie games through his reviews and his Terraria series was a bright spot at a very difficult time in my life.
Rest in peace.

Geez. Just 33. Way too young.

That was unexpected, I was totally unaware of his health troubles. I liked a lot of his "WTF is..." videos. RIP, man. :(

Anyone dying from cancer at the age of 33 is just too sad... :(
I was never a hardcore fan, but did enjoy some of his videos, and I know my brother used to watch him a lot.
Rest in peace TB

I stopped watching him pretty fast, because he sounded so self-important in his videos, and I because I've found people either better at comedy (eg. Jim Sterling) or critique (Mark Brown, Extra Credits). But man, 33 is way, way too young to depart from this place...

Damn, I had no idea about his health troubles. So sad, I didn't realise that he was so young too. :( I don't normally care about game review videos, but the WTF series was often pretty entertaining and funny.

It's a shame. I disagreed with many of his points, but I admired him for his ethics and transparency through and through.
