Each time after I sent the signal to Paris, I return to Paul and start fighting UNATCO troops in 'Ton. This time, instead of talking to Paul, I went to subway directly, using the code 6282 I already know. Gunther will still hold a barricade at Battery Park, but he's friendly and got nothing to say! :weird: All bots and UNATCO troopers are friendly too.
Then I heard chopper waiting!
I tried to bypass those barricades, but even with everyone killed (except Gunther) I still can't get out due to some invisible barrier. Finally I found that if you crouch and jump on top of those large metal crates (you need level 4 speed enhancement) to your left and keep crouched you can pass the barricade. Jock is waiting between shantytown and Castle Clinton!! He'd say "I'm not going until I know Paul's safe." However, in my "normal" plays he always tells me he had to take off when I entered subway at Hell's Kitchen and fly over me when I surrender to Gunther. Why would producers add Jock's "parking dialogue" if non-cheating players can never listen to it?
BTW, the recycled Battery Park is plain ugly. The kiosk inside Castle Clinton disappeared, the ladder at pier disappeared, nothing left. Producers might think that no one could pass the barricade at shantytown. :ebil:

Because the game designers wanted to be as thorough as possible. Using the game's own mechanics to hop over the barricade technically isn't cheating; it's an exploit. It's just like how there are items stashed in the Statue of Liberty if you manage to jump the walls in subsequent visits to Liberty Island.
Another such case is how the game designers added alternate lines for Gunther in the case that Anna is still alive after you escape from UNATCO. Technically it is possible to spare her life, but you have to be really good to do so.

This time I played it normally; I noticed that Jock takes off once the conversation with Gunther starts. To avoid talking to Gunther I throw a gradade toward him, causing him to flee, and activate thermoptic armor and speed enhancement to avoid detection. I reached Jock's black helicopter without a fight or surrender to Gunther. Yes!
However, Jock got nothing to say this time. He just kept the chopper landed!

Yeah, I got that over an year ago. Its a nice exploit, and I really liked to option to see the chopper really there. Gunther was chasing me all over the park after I pushed the crate :D

I took it to the next level today. Deathmatch with Gunther! ..well, it was a fight to the death ;) I killed and destroyed all other enemies and tried to take out Gunther too, but he wouldn't die that easily. I had to jump over the invisible barricades, after which I noticed that if you push the large ones on the left aside, you don't have to jump over anything, there's no barricades there. Well, Gunther followed me and I blasted him with rockets and LAMs, but he just didn't give up. BTW battery park is a great map for deathmatching :) After a loooong and disappointing fight I jumped to the ocean only to realize that the booth inside Castle Clinton was not the only thing missing, they had taken out the ladder from the water too! :o Then I decided to check how far the water lasted.. Pretty soon the waters started gettin deeper and deeper, and then I came to the edge of the map. THE WORLD IS FLAT AFTER ALL! :p

If you kill Anna on the 747, then you make up a story about how she was ambushed etc. I didn't get the impression that Manderley believed that though.
However, when you then escape from MJ12/Unatco, and go up the exit stairs, you still get Gunthers' "No, not Anna. I cannot forgive you... bla bla blah" message, as if he knows for certain that you killed her. Yet later on in the final confrontation in the Templar Cathedral, he will use one of his non-Anna reasons for hunting you down (mentioned elsewhere, it depends on what you did in the very first mission: freed him or not, gave him pistol or not), where JC replies with "You came all the way to Paris to tell me that?".
I think the "no, not anna navarre" message wasn't supposed to show up in this situation (it should only be triggered if they know you killed Anna), and that this is actually the real reason those non-Anna excuses are in the game...

speaking of Anna on the plane.
what happens if you knock out Lebedev?
...does the game just treat it as killing him like it does with other people in a couple places?
