WARNING: Big spoilers for thieves.
I am a thief, and I'm very good at thiefy things. I sneak around, steal, pick locks, and jump between rooftops. My sign is the Shadow, so I can even turn invisible for long periods. But I do NOT fight. I can hold my own with a wakizashi against small animals or unarmed townsfolk, but that's about it.
So far, the Thieves' Guild quests have been no problem at all for me. But now, Gentleman Jim Stacey wants me to kill the Camonna Tong's TWO best agents at the same time?! This is NOT a thief's quest.
These guys can kill me in about five hits. And the worst part is, one of them paralyzes me almost every time he hits, and it's all over after that. And that's not all, as soon as we start fighting the guard upstairs runs down and joins in too with his powerful, paralyzing sword.
So killing these guys in a regular fight is not at all an option. That's like asking Garrett to fight that final boss from Serious Sam in a small, brightly-lit room. Is there any other, more thiefy way to complete this mission? Don't tell me it's impossible for a pure thief to complete the Thieves' Guild quests. That's just bad game design, IMO.

Here's one possible solution:
Go to the Balmora Fighter's Guild and buy an enchanted Jinksblade from the bald black guy right when you first walk in the door. Same paralyzation effect that the Camonna is using on you. It's not too expensive, and makes combat much easier for non-combative sneaky types. When fighting two or more at a time, always go for the stronger one first (in this case, probably the one with the paralyzation effect of his own. By the time I faced them, I was able to sneak right up behind them without them noticing me and wail away at the one while occasionally paralyzing the other.
I'm not sure if this is the right one, but I believe this fight has a bed in the room?
You can stand on the bed and shoot the people with arrows/magic, and they cannot hit you.

Thanks a lot guys, I've finally killed the bastards. Boy, am I gonna give it to Stacey when I get back for giving me that quest.
I tried Tuco's tactic first, after quickly acquiring a Daedric longbow and a sackful of dread firestorm arrows (See, I told you I'm a good thief!:sly:). However, try as I might, I could not find a position on the bed where the two Agents couldn't hit me. Strange.
I did notice, however, that if I ran back out the door of the room as soon as the first Agent saw me, he would get stuck in the doorway for a while. And the second Agent only appeared right behind me as soon as I attacked the first. Perfect...:ebil:
After a quick trip to Balmora for Zaphod's jinksblade, I was ready. I got Agent #1 to chase me and get stuck in the door, then shot him with an arrow from the top of the stairs. When Agent #2 appeared, I ran out of the building to catch my breath, then jumped back in and started stabbing him frantically while shouting obscenities. The jinksblade worked like a charm. Then, all I had to do was shoot a few more of my Bigass Arrows Of Doom down the stairs at Agent #1. Piece o' cake.:thumb:

Now he wants me to kill Heard-Heart?! What does this guy think I am, a tank?
Actually, I killed Hard-Heart without too much trouble. Thanks to my Handy Jinksblade Of Zaphod, as it shall be called from now on.:thumb:

Yeah, it's a sweet weapon. As has been discussed in many other threads, it's actually too powerful of a weapon, especially given how early in the game its available to you. When you don't have powerful area-attack magic or ranged weapon skills, paralyzing someone can be a huge advantage when fighting two or more people.
