My friend: if you are running the game on a laptop, access the screen properties ---> screen saver -----> energy supply (the button on the bottom of the window, don't know its name in english). Then set the energy saving setting to "home/office". This will solve the problem.
The reason is clear: in laptop energy mode, the OS cheats programs, making them believe that the processor has a lower frequency (hoping that they will adjust to the alleged clock and run faster).
