Depends which dictionary you are using tbh.
To recognise racial differences is natural, normal and in some cases safer than not. The issue of when it becomes bigoted depends on where you draw the line at recognising or assigning real or perceived differences and, importantly, what those difference are and how you view them.
Its not black and white. Boom tish!
oh god i kill me

The 3D in Imax was disappointing (curse these prescribed glasses!), but the movie itself was certainly no disappointment.

Spoiler alert ahead.
Since SAM WORTHINGTON WHO IS A TERMINATOR OMG! then I submit that Ava2ar pits the entire Na'vi race versus a single Terminator.
This would enable James Cameron to do the following:
* Link up two of his favourite stories.
* Watch the Na'vi get completely and utterly anhialated as they rightly should have done in the first film.
* Enable SAM WORTHINGTON WHO IS A TERMINATOR OMG! to have a 'crisis of character' once again but this time with more heavy weaponry.
* Arnie cameo.
I think I should totally write for Hollywood...

Why not have the predator turn up also? He and the Navi could have a 'whos the most racist approximation of various indigenous peoples' competition.

There it is.
And a possible merch tie-in with the new Predator(s) movie!

Besides, if realism had any place in these movies, the 2nd part would be a 15min short film showing the humans coming back with massive overkill and 'nuking' the whole area.
Nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
It's not like the movie didn't have enough Aliens references. :D

If realism had any place in this movie it wouldn't involve alien lifeforms who coincidentally look and act almost EXACTLY LIKE HUMANS
They even kiss and have tits for gods sake. Total imagination failure.

The act of stereotyping? Its naturally human.
Out of interest, would you say that all "naturally human" behaviours and urges are neutral or even okay? Because I'd say that we are capable of examining our urges critically and that it would be bad to act on all of them. Doesn't mean we have to walk around like repressed Victorians, but just because they took this to extremes doesn't mean that we should be controlled by everything that is "naturally human".

How does this grab you:
A music teacher believes:
1) Blacks have a better sense of rhythm than whites.
2) The work a student puts in is more important than their natural abilities.
So far so good.
A problem would arise if the teacher concluded that black pupils must perform better than white pupils in order to get the same grades.

In fact, a problem would arise if the opposite happens, which is much more likely IMO:
A physics teacher believes:
1) Blacks have poorer science/academic skills than whites.
2) The work a student puts in is more important than their natural abilities.
So far so good.
A problem would arise if the teacher, because of 1), judges black pupils' achievements more negatively than white pupils, so in reality black students must achieve more in order to get the same grades.
