I think they were getting it ready. Either way, it's a fair point, if the shit was that explosive it's hard to believe it could even land close without having an impact.

I was looking out for the bit about the explosives shuttle etc talked about above, it crashed in the jungle away from the tree
You know the only thing that I found odd?
I'm not a perv or nothing (honest guv), but how artfully the Navi women's nipples were hidden was nonsense.
You caught the odd side glimpse and unfocused background shot but that was it.

This is true, but I think the primary reason for not showing Na'vi nipples is that the MPAA gives (almost) any movie with a bare nipple an R rating by default, and Fox wants to maximize profits for this extremely expensive movie by ensuring that it gets a PG-13 rating instead.
By the way, it's pretty amazing that Cameron's earlier movie Titanic could show Kate Winslet's naked breasts and still got a PG-13 rating. That almost never happens.
