Well, I don´t see a problem here, nobody has to play that style if he doesn´t want to. I´m not a big fan of ghosting or taking away weapons, but since Hard is a rather useless difficulty why not skip it and add a even more harder difficulty.
About the mission:
It was overall ok for me. Had some fun. Would also love it when Dale_ will come back for more FMs. I think he has a great style.
Still, I wasn´t able to find all loot even on Medium, so I played on Normal and finished. I looted the mansion and police station, but that wasn´t enough. Did I just miss an area(ok, I later found the ghetto) or a bunch of hidden levers? Not sure.

Absolutely LOVED this mission.
Let me count the ways:
!. Very thoughtful loot placement, rewarding diligent searching
2. Plentiful secrets, some very cleverly hidden (I needed the secrets list from above to get the last few--hanging head in shame)
3. Plentiful and varied connections between areas, allowing multiple approaches--i.e. NOT linear at all
4. Climbing rewarded (I always love that)
5. Interior manor layout complex and interesting
6. careful attention to detail (much appreciated)
7. simply beautiful interiors in the manor
8. other areas to explore also
9. a hell of a lot of fun

what a great mission! Loved all the cleverly placed hidden loots and also the secrets were quite nice. The ending was also interesting, with avoiding the assassin by using the hidden passage ways. That Barong mask however was devlishly placed.... already did all the objectives (on Maestro) and still couldnt find it. Had to scour through the mansion 3 or 4 times until I finally saw it.

That was a fun mission, didn't play on maestro because of the no KO objective - what can I say I like looking around when it's nice & quiet, might give it a try in future though I missed the mask too, kicked myself when I found it
Missed about half the secrets & a ton of loot, so I think I'm going to grab the last save game & go hunting for them

Just finished this mission on Maestro difficulty. A true masterpiece, really...
It took me around 3 hours ghosting it, found just enough to reach the loot goal, considering I always search for every secrets, I guess I may have missed a whole area.
Anyway, I loved the atmosphere, and the level design is close to perfect to me.

I'd like to add something more general about FMs : I feel like the quality level of new releases is increasing a lot recently.
A lot of them are pieces of art on every aspects and I feel very spoiled every time I launch Thief to discover a new FM.
Congratulations to all the authors and thank you for offering us such experiences nearly 30 years after the original release :)

Fantastic FM Lord Taffer and Dale!!! Thanks for going through all the effort to make this beautfiul mission. It's surprisingly large and shows a great attention to detail. I think you've balanced it perfectly.. I wish the Pagan stuff was expanded on though - desperate to know what they're up-to :)

I really enjoyed this fm, thank you for the fun! I'm playing on middle difficulty, all objectives done but the loot. I have 2400 and need to have 3700.
I obviously missed aalot...... is there a lootlist?
