Thinking of Deus Ex, I remember the novel which appears at specific points in the game. I think it's called Jacob's Shadow, or Jacob's Ladder. I remember in the Hong Kong apartment there was a passage about a game of chess. Perhaps an ellusion to Ch2 of T.S Elliot's The Wasteland?

Is this Jacob's Shadow a real book, or did ION Storm invent it for the game?
If so, what's it about?

Yeah, I rememer watching that. Of course, everyone knows it wasn't the powder they put in the food that caused the friendly fire...

I think the clue's in the 'In'. Good work from Ion Storm though. They should have written a complete version and published it.
