I have the shield, but call me stupid, I forget how to get back into the rebel camp. Is there some way to open the door by the lake? Or do I have to find the other door?

Use the special key you got to get out of the rebelcamp.
Near each entrance there's a 'hidden' (or at least 'hard to find') keyhole.

I've looked all over by the lake but I can't find the keyhole. And I have no idea where the other entrance is. The location of either of these would be a great help...

OK, after entering the big lake room from the goblin/troll outpost, you'll need to cross the bridge.
Once across the bridge, go to your left and it should be a "dead end". Look at the wall for something that could be a "door" and to the left of that somewhere should be a keyhole that you can use with the key. There you are, you're in. :thumb:

Thanks Biohazard, I can't believe I didn't see it before. The keyhole is only a foot off the ground, and I didn't think to look down...
