I can assure you, we do get the point. We just don't think, a game has to be
exactly the same after 15 years. Or we don't think it's THAT big of a deal. Or we just don't care that much. Whatever.
I really
liked eighties' music and films.
Doesn't mean I can't enjoy new ones because they don't do it exactly like (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn_FMsoTkGY) this anymore.
If anyone thinks they're going to far with changes, he or she shouldn't buy it.
But please stop tellin' me, I shouldn't, too, and if I do, I'm an idiot or missing the point or whatever.
I'm very capable of making a fool out of me myself whenever and wherever and whichever way I want to.

I just don't like the argument of "if you don't like it, don't buy it." It's weak, and it's a copout. I've been a fan for years - if I don't like it, I'm going to voice my opinion. Whether "they" listen or not is up to them, I can't control that. But I refuse to just say "OK" every time they make a change or come up with a feature that's not in the spirit of the original game.
But hey, let's not fight, let's be friends. It's cool. Contrary to popular belief, the sky isn't falling or anything drastic like that.

You are indeed missing the point, if you believe the majority of the community is clamoring for the exact same game as before...we are not...only that it adheres to the core design philosphy which made THIEF unique and great...With NuThief, there is an entirely different design approach which amounts to a homoginized, freedom-diminished, stealth-action title.

And there it is...Without an understanding or concern for preserving the core concept of a game experience, one can not accurately report these qualities to a community that does.

I don't want it to be
exactly the same, I want it to be
better, with the exception of the graphics I don't regard the current changes as improvements.
I want control of my own actions when playing and I used an analogy to make that point.
Is that clear enough ZB or will you be pretending not to understand and picking up on a single word in the post again ?

A single word, repeated
seven times, that makes (
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/humbug) no sense in this context.
If you intended "humbug" to act as a metasyntactic variable, you chose incomprehensibly.

So you only saw that word and none of the others ?, may I suggest a visit to an optician
On the other hand if you are unfamiliar with mint humbugs may I suggest you try (
http://www.handycandy.co.uk/mint-humbugs-p-69.html) these

ZB, her definition is actually listed in the very same link that you provided. Duh.

I'm a bit of a fan of humbugs but where the heck did you find that site, Esme? We have sweets in this country - not candy!
