Bali, Indonesia. Eat some durian, take a swim in a cascading waterfall, have tranquility and relax. But don't bring any drugs.
I'd also highly recommend Melaka, Malaysia. Get yourself a nice beach front hotel, and take taxis or buses around to where you need to go. The food is to-die-for in both locations.

Durians are so gross. They're like a combination of cantaloupe, onion, and crab.

Guy pops in out of nowhere, calls everyone here DUDE, The asks us to tell him where to go....
Anyone here thinking what I'm thinking? LOL

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. Starrfall, with the fiscally and logistically sensible suggestion, is my superego externally realized, but piano-sam is stoking my fantasy of blasting Sigur Ros in craggy Icelandic landscapes.
Southeast Asia and Mexico hadn't occurred to me. I fear they might be too hot, and I'd rather not vacation with Gary Glitter and Rambo, but I'll have to think about them.
As for my old nick, there are far too many shitty posts associated with it for me to take it up again. (I created it in the summer after eighth grade, after all.) I hope this doesn't fuel speculation, because the answer's not terribly exciting.
No way insertnamehere knows who I am.

In fact, I was just looking into Iceland, but $1,000 USD+ for 10 days with a rental car is rape.
$1000 USD for 10 days in Iceland, WITH a rental? Is this the whole package? Flights, accomodation, car?
Dude. How cheap does it have to be for it not to be 'rape'?
Anyway, try Finland during summer. Although I bet Iceland would be all kinds of cool.

In all seriousness, if it's your first time to Europe you really can't go wrong with Italy, it has culture, history, great food, great people and a sort of buzzy vibrancy that a lot of old Europe lacks without being over touristy (if you avoid the obvious tourist hotspots, I mean).
