I had to ROFL at that, what I don't understand is how they grew to be adults without (presumably) welfare to support them. Pity it didn't explain "your inability to invoke "conscientious objector" to get out of military service".
A question I'd ask of this quote (original article):
Quote:
Islam, she says is ‘the solution to a lot of the prevailing evils: drugs, adultery, fornication...'
is how Islam deals with these issues in a way Christianity cannot (I have a sneaking suspicion)?

Yes, Convict, they 'deal' with it by burning witches at the stake.
Re: Buddhist vs Muslim differences in the # of children born in poverty - what about a Muslim vs Christian comparison? I can't say I know much, I mean, anything about Buddhist beliefs, but I do know that they certainly don't make up a majority in any Western nations I know of.

Or burying you up to your neck, then throwing stones at your head (not so large as to kill you with one or two).
Or beat your ass with a cane pole.
Or hang you in public.
Or shoot you in the back of the head, during halftime, in the middle of a football stadium.
Or arrest and beat your entire extended family, including your children and parents.
Islam knows how to get things done, I'll give it that.

I believe there are a significant number of Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims from India in England, who tend to differ significantly in behavior including when economic status and so on is controlled for. Too lazy to bother looking for stats at the moment though.

But they give us oil so that makes it OK.

There are 400,000 Muslims in Texas alone and Islam is the fastest growing religion in the USA.
So does that mean creation science just lost all its major supporters?

Nope, you can be Islamic and creationist too.
I don't worry about the red states outbreeding the blue states, because I think that is their own defeat. I have no evidence; but I believe that the main driver towards a more liberal view of the world is population density, which brings people into more contact with those who are different from themselves. High population density also makes the importance of the enviroment manifest, because you can see the mess you make if you aren't careful. So when the far right projects their takeover by breeding, I just laugh into my sleeve and let them carry on as they will.

I think there's probably something to this. Even in the more right-wing states, the major urban centres tend to be fairly left-wing (Salt Lake City, for example, has one of the most liberal mayors in the entire United States). Although whether this is a direct result of higher population density or simply that diverse people tend to congregate in urban areas because they will be more accepted there is uncertain.
Additionally, whether this could also apply to those countries where people don't have the freedom to be diverse (eg Iran) is another matter. Tehran has 9 million inhabitants, but you can still be executed for being gay, so population density doesn't seem to have made much of a difference.

Creation science is strictly christian though, dealing with the whole 6000 year old earth, noahs flood, etc kind of stuff. They're also the leading people fighting the war on evolution (both in the class room and in the gene pool), so if they're all turning Islamic at least they'll have to spend the time to band into a new configuration and then put together a new arguement to fight against evolution scientist.
