which attracts the insults like flies to a stinkfish orgy
How do the flies get to the fish orgy? do they put on little snorkels

Stinkfish live in the mud as they aren't real fish but amphibians that I just made up. Just like your mom

Of course, the current Capitalist model is bound to fail eventually - Marx sez (lolé)
Corporatist, or State Capitalism, Interventionism, "The Third Way".
And why do people prefer flaming to discussion still? One is not made superior to Convict by hurling insults, no matter how daft his arguments appear to be.

Good old Fascism, it never fails to come up with the goods.

It might not make you superior, but it sure is fun! Especially when you realise discussing with Convict tends to be an exercise in futility.

Success/failure measured by what criteria? Economic success? You might want to check out the level of national debt in the US. They look as potentially vulnerable as any Western Capitalist nation to me. You might also consider other measures of 'success' for a nation. How about not having gone to war with anyone for the past decade or so? How about the average standard of living? How about free access to health care?
There is a valid point about how Euro governments are perhaps regulating and restricting business and industry too much, and not doing enough to encourage the generation of wealth. Which is slightly worrying given the rise of china and india. If we fail on that count, I think things could get a bit shitty all-round.
I just want to see the point made by someone a bit less cack-handed than Mark Steyn.

I don't really agree with that opinion, but it's certainly a topic worthy of an intelligent article.
I'm fairly sure that even if Europe completely unfettered business (with all the problems I feel that would bring) - it still would not be able to compete with China. They're operating with a massive workforce and, seemingly, no care for annoying restrictions like health and safety. Hence their production levels are EPIC!
I think a continued policy of protectionist trade tariffs looks a lot safer than trying to win an impossible production war. However, I am FAR FROM AN EXPERT. Obviously.
VVVVVVVVV lolling at this :D

Wait, wait.. are you telling me religions are somehow
different just because they believe in a different
version of the same nicely invented fairytale?
That seems... both illogical and confusing... and a certain ground for future conflicts.
Well, yeah. If they're like the Jains you can push them around you can kick 'em around and eventually they'll become bankers and stockbrokers. If they're like the (
http://www.rotten.com/library/religion/heresy/circumcellions/) Circumcellions they'll piss everyone off enough to wipe crush them into little specks in the dustbin of history.
