Perhaps if you had asked these converts a year ago, they would have explained to you in great detail why Christianity was completely preferable to Islam. I think you've missed a huge chunk of the funney in this.

But then, I'm sure there are so many levels of

Anyway I agree that everyone needs a faith that corresponds their views. But in that case, it's quite meaningful that these people have even become particularly strict on details like clothing and women.
Weak people are the ones who seek the same faith as others. Weaker are those who can't stick with what they have chosen.

Oho. Yeah, I don't really give a damn about whether people believe in a particular religion, not unless their belief manages to disrupt my life. But I feel the same about anyone else's belief / behaviour in anything: Do whatcha like, just stay off my lawn if you're going to start pissing.
It's the hypocrisy and fickleness that makes me rolleyes.
