Interesting read about the current war in Iraq along with info from Alexanders campaign in the middle east.
To me it points out that westerners don't have a clue about he middle eastern mindset.

It's just a bit to the east of Iran and Iraq. It's generally a fairly peaceful country, which is why you don't hear about it much.
