REM should be in the Hall of Vague Nostalgia, along with a whole lot of other inductees in the Hall of Fame.
I like the first six albums just fine, but then things start to get shitty. Couple of singles here and there, but they dropped off the radar 15 years ago.

A pox on David Lee Roth? What planet am I on?

While I am on the planet No One Gives a F*ck About Van Halen.
I say let them tour, maybe they'll kill each other or implode under the weight of their mighty, crazy egos.

This is the prerequisite for Hall of Fame membership, isn't it?

Thank God.
I thought I had crashed on the tiny moon Cherone and was going to be whined to death by the natives.

From the article:
Quote:
Only Van Halen's second lead singer, Sammy Hagar, and ex-bass player Michael Anthony turned up for their induction. Guitarist Eddie Van Halen has just gone into rehab and original lead singer David Lee Roth stayed away in a tiff over what he would perform.
The first cassette tape I ever bought with my own money was Van Halen 1984. I thought the smoking baby was soooo bad.
