And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane,
Let's do the Time Warp again!
:D
But, the real purpose of this thread is to express that after years of peeking and hearing about this movie I finally saw it (dunno if the US or British version).
Loved it.
I'm Frank N. Furter, definitively.
With that in mind, I'm curious, any of you guys belong to any cult chapter house in your city?, ever gone to a midnight showing and interacted with the movie and crowd?
I wonder :)
I'd love to do that before I die, one of the 1001 interesting/fun/worthwhile things to do in life.

I went to a midnight show when I was in college back in the... well, that's not really important. What was important was that when the MC for the event stood up at the front of the theater and demanded that all RHPS virgins come to the front to be initiated, the twerps I went with all tried to pass off like they were so cool and refused to own up. Needless to say I dimed the bitches out and we were all escorted down by the screen and sprayed with silly string. Seriously, what's the point of going to a ritual like this and cheating yourself of the whole experience? :nono:
Anyway, it was great fun. You should find a venue and go.

I went to a midnight show last halloween and people threw the appropriate items at the appropriate times and yeah, it was kind of fun but, really, Rocky Horror Picture Show is a shitty movie and I don't want to see it again.

I was at that same showing and I thought it was awesome.
I GUESS I JUST WENT WITH THE WRONG PEOPLE!

I think it's fun enough but am afraid I would hate the group viewing experience. Cliques freak me out, cults doubly so.

Terrible movie. Went to high school with a couple people obsessed with it. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. Watched it again a couple years ago and hated it even worse.

Practically grew up watching this (surely suitable for 10-year-olds!), but I have never went to a theatre show.

Never went to a midnight showing, but there are pictures out there somewhere of me dressed as the good doctor for Halloween long ago.

If you don't see it properly, it's a shit movie.
If you see it properly, it's one of the more fun ways to waste a couple of hours. If you like that sort of thing. I used to like that sort of thing, and I went to the Roxy in Toronto for RHPS every Friday for nearly a year.
Yeah, I'm not sure if I'm proud of that or anything, but I had a good time.

What I liked best was how everyone in the theatre except me seemed to know exactly what to do at the precise times, so it was kinda like watching two shows at once, or at least the best commentary track ever. The movie, on its own, is pretty bad, but in that context it's brilliant.
