The better film by
far was
28 Weeks Later- in some respects, I thought it was even better than the original. I must admit I've never wanted to scream at my TV before but I did when I watched this movie. I was on the edge of my seat during that sequence in the abandoned tube station.
Although I really liked 28 Weeks Later I thought the original was better. The opening sequences of both are especially fantastic. I know what you mean about the tube sequence in the sequel, it was well done. The one part of that I didn't like was when he just walked past the soldier lady. It kind of broke the verisimilitude for me.

The Dummies Guide to Home Improvement, I shit you not, it's also horribly apt as most DIY leaves me feeling utterly immasculated as I barely know how to hammer a nail without detailed instructions and assurance
Good stuff! It really is satisfying and liberating to be able to do that stuff yourself and avoid all the hassles that come along with dealing with builders. I'm not saying there are not some fanstastic tradesmen out there but they can be quite hard to find! Luckily my Dad is very capable DIY'er so I learnt how to plaster, tile and paint as I grew up as well as some basic carpentry skills.
On topic I got some gift cards/vouchers for Bunnings, a building supplies store, so I'm currently in the process of tiling the around the new toilet and a tiled kitchen splash back is next. Hopefully I might be able to squeeze in some floor laminate for the kitchen/dining area too.
Other stuff:
4 movie tickets for the upcoming film rush that always occurs at this time of year.
A 1:6 scale Batman figurine from 'The Dark Knight'.
2 cookbooks, which I was greatly in need of!
A set of 6 drink glasses.
Various t-shirts and chocolates

I got an excellent-condition copy of the 1976 version of the AD&D Handbook. Weird to see how much the system's changed over the years...
