Snow Crash wasn't great although I may just have read it too late. Unlike Neuromancer it seemed interwoven with the themes of the time of it's writing and hence aged badly. I found The Diamond Age to be quite enjoyable and interesting on the other hand. Though having your main character get gang raped at the end wasn't exactly classy.

Not a lot.
- A couple of seasons of Seinfeld, a show I've never ever seen
- The Dummies Guide to Home Improvement, I shit you not, it's also horribly apt as most DIY leaves me feeling utterly immasculated as I barely know how to hammer a nail without detailed instructions and assurance
- The Dark Knight blu-ray bought by myself from someone else (cash)
- Iron Man blu-ray (from myself)
- Some cash from my folks, I think (they said they were, but it's not in my account yet... bastards)
Essentially though, I got a huge TV, PS3 and sound system a few months back as a birthday/christmas present to myself.

Second that.
I am eyeing Turtle's copy of "The Last Basselope" with extreme jealousy, though.

I also got Goodnight Opus, and A Wish for Wings That Work.

Damn it!!
I was so bummed that BB decided to retire Opus--I've been a big fan since day one of Bloom County (I've had my oversized Opus and Bill the Cat with me since 1986--ye Gods).

I took advantage of a blowout sale at Borders' (the local branch I go to is closing) to buy a couple of movies with my Christmas money at half-price (otherwise I wouldn't have gotten them given what I'd heard.)
Diary of the Dead was a decent zombie movie but it lacked the "Romero feel". The better film by far was 28 Weeks Later- in some respects, I thought it was even better than the original. I must admit I've never wanted to scream at my TV before but I did when I watched this movie. I was on the edge of my seat during that sequence in the abandoned tube station.
