Thanks for the "welcome back" everyone. As for lurking on and off for seven years, how could I resist checking in from time to time?

Tonamel, like the rest of the universe, I have a myspace page, and some of the more scattered song ideas are on there.

I must warn you, or anyone who visits the page that one of the songs contains an absurd amount of profanity. The other 3 are quite safe and boring in contrast. The dirty one is called DMF and is somewhat offensive to some people, so remove children/easily offended people from the room and turn it up LOUD!

The album is going to be an acoustic project. The stuff on myspace are mainly computer driven productions from the last year or so. There just happens to be a song on there that was partially inspired by Thief, and partially from a dream I had. Its called 'The Lonely Thief' and I just finished it 3 days ago. Its still going in for mixdown and mastering, but it is allllmoooost there.

I checked out your music, other than the lyrics of The Lonely Thief being highly dorky (because I know what you're singing about :p) it has a really polished sound. :thumb:

You might think you know what The Lonely Thief is about, but you might be wrong too. ;) Actually, its really about whatever you want it to be about, so sure, you're right.

The words in The Lonely Thief are only dabs of the remaining paint smeared on leftover images I remember from my days of playing Thief, but the story in that song, at least for me, is quite differrent. The only similarity is the feeling of escaping, both while writing the song, and playing the game. And let's face it, the setting in TDP is dark, treacherous, and at times quite dangerous, and in my mind, so is the subject of my song.

It is really about other forbidden things in life, and about taking something from the most wrong person and then paying the consequences... well, that's what it means for me.

Although, dorky works I guess.

I remember your voicework in thief FMs Lonestar. I always thought you did a swell job. I like to check in every once and again, too.
