Happy new year, you all!
It's time to kick off this new WAYP thread for 2026. May this year be full of great new releases and good old games! It would also be nice to have some time to play them!
I can't think of any titles that I'm particularly hyped for this year, but I'm pretty sure that I'm forgetting something, and without a doubt something cool will turn up anyway.
So, let the gaming commence! :D What are you playing now?!

Prey.
World War Zero (a more straight forward adaptation of Iron Storm).

Lots of Thief, of course. There have been about a dozen new FMs released since December 1st, most of them part of a year end (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153197) Speedbuild that ran from October through December. Lots of new Thiefy goodness to take in.

Ah yes I downloaded some mods for Fallout New Vegas, gotta get them sorted out on Mod Manager.

My current rotation of games are:
Champions Online - It's still chugging along, getting minor updates ever so often. Events run at the usual holidays. It's mostly just a lazy comfort game that I don't really have to think about when playing.
Tekken 8 - Not super active or good at it, but Tekken has always been one of my favourite fighting game franchises and Tekken 8 is solid. I'm sure the competetive scene has gripes, but I'm not at that level or that interested in trying to practice combos.
(
https://www.gog.com/en/game/heart_of_the_machine) Heart of the Machine - It's coming along nicely, with the developer preparing for 1.0. It's an Arcen title, so putting a simple label like City Management does it major disservice.

Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo - saw this pop up on some GOTY lists and picked it up on a whim. Top down action adventure, kinda early-Zelda-ish thing with amazingly smooth gameplay and fun characters. It even made me laugh out loud once.
Advance Wars (GBA) - loved this but gave up on the final battle which is just a brick wall of a difficulty spike.
The Long Dark - playing the challenge where you have 30 days to stock supplies for a coming storm. It's nice comfort zone gaming for cold winter days.

Prey.
Is this your first time playing it?
I absolutely loved the first half of Prey. Great level design and super tense atmosphere. But towards the end of the game most of that tension and balance in the gameplay must have been dumped to the outer space. I felt like the latter half of the game was just dragging on, especially when there was so much backtracking. Still, all in all I remember Prey being a pretty positive experience. I never got around to playing the
Mooncrash DLC because I was all Prey'd out by the end of the main game. Is it worth my euros?

And I never got around to playing Fallout New Vegas either, mostly because of all the mods that I apparently "needed" to enjoy the game. I just never figured out what those "essential" mods were because everyone was recommending different mods, and then I kind of lost my interest in the whole game. :p I guess I should have just played the vanilla Fallout NV, and perhaps I'll do that on the XBox some time.

I just finished Keeper. This is a difficult recommend, because if you're into the right kind of game, you may well love this - but there will be many who will find it boring and/or not much of a game. And from a certain perspective they're right: mechanically, Keeper is varied and inventive, but also shallow, and anyone looking for challenge will certainly be disappointed. Keeper is more of a concept album as a game: if you enjoy the likes of Flower, the Amanita games, The Artful Escape, and if you love worlds like those of The Dark Crystal or Labyrinth - or simply the kind of aesthetics that Double Fine does so well -, check Keeper out. For me, this was perfect after the wonderful but exhausting Silksong - but this is arguably better art than it is a video game, at least if you're into systems, interactivity, challenge. (And, to be honest, I think it would have been better at 2/3 the length.)

Prey is some crossover from Doom 3 and a Cherokee modern day warrior reluctantly embracing his tribe heritage, facing the aliens that kidnapped him his fiancee and his grand pa he calls him Enisi.
For Fallout New Vegas I usually enjoy Frozen World for a snowy desert, and if you like bounty hunting NV Bounties I, II, and III that could benefit from the same author mod Russell, be aware that he curses as he breathes like this "Damn this heat is making my balls itch!", then if you love complications and have also Fallout 3 Goty install "Tale of two wastelands" after you follow the install online guide (this works for windows though) you can travel between wastelands by train.
