It happened again, only this time the teacher is actually attractive... - by AxTng1

Well just as a sort of aside, I found (
http://www.webistry.net/jan/consent.html) This, and the age of consent is 14-18 depending on the state, so really even the nation as a whole can't fucking decide when one is old enough (the average is 16, but I think you all get my point).

Ahahah, "Virginia" has one of the lowest ages of consent

But then 15 year olds (can) impregnate their peers as well. So that's not a matter of age differences but teaching your kids about contraception at an appropriate age, that is before they can have sex, whether you assume they'll do it or not.

Pretty much any guy would have sex with an older decent (not even good) looking woman when they are 15 because they're thinking with their cock.
In retrospect, many would also say it would have been a bad idea [...]
But that's exactly what I meant: The responses here show that in retrospect most people
still would have done it. Either these people are still thinking with their cocks or with the knowledge and experience of an adult they think they'd rather have lived with the consequences and get laid by an attractive older woman at that age.
About turning the tables: I know when I was 15-16 a lot of the girls my age were in fact attracted to older men (*sob*). This is usually attributed to girls being more psychologically developed at that age. Given the parallels to male behaviour make of that what you will.
My concern is more with the adult who voluntarily engages in a relationship with a partner who by their standards should be accounted as a retard. I guess they go through the same crisis that some men around their 50s go through with girlfriends who could be their daughters or grandchilds. They like to think of themselves as being younger than they really are.
Such a behaviour might show a need for psychological help but in some cases it just needs some time and the scorn of society to make them realize what a complete idiot they're making of themselves.

What
are the potential consequences of a 15 year old having (consenting) sex with a 35 year old woman?
According to the article:
Quote:
Further, the indictment also alleges that Johanson forced the boy to have sex with her.
Big difference imho.
Even if the underage participant is consenting, at that stage of life that person doesn't have the mental/emotional experience/maturity to realize there can be some long-lasting consequences. Examples: teen pregnancies, std's (seriously, no pun intended - rly), and an inability to have a healthy, 'normal' relationship after the young person reaches maturity (they don't get that sex does not = love).
I agree with fett.

Of course.

teen pregnancies, std's
See above. That's not related to age differences.

That's quite speculative isn't it? What would make you better realize that sex does not equal love than someone who's just with you for the sex?

Oh god yeah, a few days earlier I read a European wide statistic that said teens were getting into sex much later than they used to and faithfulness was among the highest rated aspects in a relationship, etc.
Do you really fall for that "OMG, the youth don't know what love is anymore!!"?
